Australia’s best-selling skincare brand has now arrived in the UK. Boost Lab might be your solution if you’re struggling with dehydration on your forehead or sagging skin on your neck. I can relate to the latter; I tried numerous creams to improve the appearance of my neck with little to no results. To better understand Boost Lab’s serum range and assess how effective the ingredients are for my skin, I have been testing their products for about a month.
Boost Lab’s assortment of serums is like a selection of enticing chocolates, filled with natural ingredients (without harmful sugars), designed to deliver targeted results. The packaging is chic, colourful, and modern. Additionally, the products are science-backed and affordable. While I regularly use serums, finding the right one for your skin can be challenging. As part of my daily skincare routine, I incorporate a face oil or hydrating serum alongside a moisturiser because of my dehydrated skin.
The Boost Lab serums come with a guide outlining the application order. Following this guide helps you determine which products to use first. Depending on your skin type, it’s advisable to layer 3 to 4 serums at a time. I highly recommend the following serums for sensitive or dehydrated skin:
The 2d-Hyaluronic Hydro Boost Serum intensely replenishes moisture, resulting in a soft, plump complexion, while reinforcing the skin barrier for long-term hydration and rescuing dry, dull skin. It is soothing and suitable for my skin without irritating it. This serum provides dual levels of moisturisation to supercharge your daily beauty regimen. Applying just a few drops in the morning or before bedtime is sufficient. The Eye Reset serum pairs perfectly with the 2d-Hyaluronic Hydro Boost. Formulated with two bio-blends and an energising mineral tonic blend, it helps to reduce puffiness under the eyes.
The Edelweiss Neck Firming Serum has been a game-changer for me, noticeably improving the appearance of my neck. It lifts and smooths sagging skin. I apply 3 to 4 drops followed by Boost Lab’s Fine Line Rewind Silicone Patches, which provide targeted hydration to smooth and firm the neck and décolletage overnight. These patches are the best non-surgical alternative to Botox and can be reused up to 20 times. Facial patches are also available, including a forehead patch, two eye patches, and two smile line patches.
As a fan of face oils, I particularly enjoy the Jojoba Bio-Nourishing Face Oil from Boost Lab. This oil functions like a liquid balm, smoothing the skin’s texture without clogging pores. It’s perfect for anyone looking to improve dry skin. You can apply 2 to 3 drops directly to your skin or mix the oil with your favourite Boost Lab serum in your hand for an added boost.
The Night Recovery Cream leaves your skin supple and supports the skin barrier. Before applying the night cream, I recommend rubbing a few drops of Retinol (Vitamin A) Night Renewal Serum into your skin. Always patch test any product before use, especially with Retinol, which can be strong depending on concentration and formulation. I suggest a lower strength Retinol of 0.1% to 0.3%, suitable for beginners. Since the retinoid strength of the Night Renewal Serum is not indicated, it’s wise to patch test for precaution.
Trying the entire range of Boost Lab is worth it. Other products I’m gradually exploring include:
– CicaPlus Repair Serum for redness, irritation, and sensitivity
– Vitamin B3 Blemish Rescue Serum to target blemishes, excess oil, and redness
– Vitamin C Brightening Serum for uneven skin tone and dark spots
– Multi-Peptide Anti-Ageing Serum for deep wrinkles and loss of firmness
– Daily Firming Moisturiser for ultimate hydration and anti-ageing benefits
Currently ranking as the number one best-selling skincare brand at Priceline in Australia, similar to Boots, Boost Lab is gaining traction in the UK. Keep an eye on this brand.
